Mountain goat tags in our part of Alaska are available over the counter, making planning simpler. However, important residency restrictions apply:

 

• Non-residents may only hunt mountain goats in Alaska if accompanied by an Alaska-licensed guide or a resident hunter who is a first-degree relative (parent, sibling, or child).

• If you’re a non-resident without qualifying kin in Alaska, you will need to hire a registered guide (we can connect you with trusted guide partners if needed).
